Anaïs del Sordo and Marco Fiorini (IRCAM, REACH) recently toured Japan for a series of workshops and concerts, thanks to an invite from the JFLI (Japanese-French Lab of Informatics), the University of Tokyo and Tokyo Geidai University of the Arts.

On September 8, Marco Fiorini gave a presentation at Harada-Kurose-Mukuta Lab in the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology, one of the most prominent labs on AI Research in University of Tokyo.
On September 9, Anaïs del Sordo and Marco Fiorini hosted a masterclass on improvisation with co-creative agents, implying Somax2, at the Tokyo Geidai University of the Arts in the Ueno Campus.
The masterclass had a very rich attendance, with high artistic profiles, resulting in a unique blend of traditional Japanese language, free improvisation and co-creative electronic interaction.

During the tour, Anaïs del Sordo and Marco Fiorini performed in prominent venues for free improvisation, like Bar Isshee, OTOOTO and Hako Gallery, playing with some of the most exciting musicians in the free improvisation scene, such as Tetuzi Akiyama (guitar), Leo Okagawa (electronic), Daisuke Fujiwara (sax) and Shinpei Ruike (trumpet).
