Organized as part of the European REACH project, the Improtech international workshop-festival combines the universal art of improvisation with digital intelligence and AI culture through a series of conferences, interdisciplinary workshops, installations, performances, and concerts. After traveling across three continents and bringing together leading artists and science figures in the field, Improtech returned to Ircam, its alma mater, in December 2025, for an extraordinary edition focusing on the relation between improvisation, composition and spatiality, with a special tribute to the great composer and Music AI Pioneer George Lewis.
Now, thanks to the incredible technical and artistic work of the Ircam Sound Production staff and the video shooting, design and realization by Lounico Production and Houses Inc tokyo, an exceptional collection of movies documenting the concerts, workshops, lectures with additional interviews and documentaries is available to the public.
